​Monthly Chapter Meeting

Monthly chapter meetings are open to duly initiated members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting. Meeting time and location is as follows:

Every first Saturday (Location is subject to change)

​1:00 / 1:30 P.M. - Chapter Meeting

NOTE: There are no meetings held in July and August. ​

Planning On Attending A Meeting

In accordance with the National Standard Operating Guidelines and/or Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to provide proof of membership for meeting entry. Primary identification may include any government issued ID. Secondary identification may include, but are not limited to:

• A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)

• A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office

• Letter signed by our Corporate Office Membership Department verifying your membership

• A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name​

 

Business attire is required for chapter meetings. Business attire does not include jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers. If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Committee CLICK HERE or email jyoung@akaiotaalphaomega.org.

Prospective Graduate membership is by invitation only and is not solicited through our graduate chapters.  Graduate chapters host public events, such as forums, workshops, and social activities, so that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities they offer to local communities.  Attendance at our programs and fundraising events should not be considered as expectations of an offer of invitation.
